Jason Abraham – Soul Fusion Guitarist, Artist, and Visionary
Born in the vibrant borough of Queens, New York, Jason Abraham is a Puerto Rican American soul fusion guitarist whose love for music began at the age of 12. The turning point came when he watched La Bamba and heard the soaring, emotive guitar work of Carlos Santana—a moment that would forever change his life. Deeply moved and inspired, Jason begged his mother for a guitar. On his 12th birthday, she gifted him his first instrument, and from that day forward, his journey as a self-taught musician began.
Jason’s style is a powerful fusion of soul, rock, Latin, blues, and jazz—born from listening obsessively to guitar greats like Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, and Jeff Beck. What sets Jason apart is his ability to play strictly by ear. With no formal training, he developed a raw, intuitive approach to the guitar, allowing emotion and spiritual connection to guide every note he plays. Over the years, this instinctive playing style has become his signature: heartfelt, electrifying, and deeply expressive.
In addition to his musical talents, Jason studied audio engineering and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, equipping him with a strong foundation both creatively and professionally. He honed his craft behind the scenes as well, interning at the renowned Platinum Sounds studio under the guidance of Grammy-winning producers Wyclef Jean and Jerry Wonder. During this time, Jason had the unique opportunity to work with an impressive roster of world-class artists, including Mary J. Blige, Cam'ron, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, and Mariah Carey. This experience broadened his perspective on the music industry and sharpened his understanding of both production and performance.
As a live performer, Jason has become a fixture in the New York music scene and beyond. He has delivered unforgettable performances at a wide range of venues, from intimate clubs to large-scale festivals. Notable highlights include performing at the legendary Webster Hall, the Sugar Bar (owned by iconic singer-songwriter Valerie Simpson), and the African American Festival at Valhalla Dam in Upstate New York. Whether on a major stage or in a cozy venue, Jason’s performances are known for their energy, authenticity, and emotional depth. He doesn't just play music—he channels it, creating a spiritual connection with his audience through every chord and solo.
Jason’s upcoming album, Master of Confusion, represents the next evolution in his artistic journey. This deeply personal project serves as a reflection of his inner world—a musical exploration of growth, healing, and awakening. Blending soul, fusion, and spiritual elements, the album invites listeners into a space of introspection and inspiration. It’s not just music—it’s a message. A call to rise above chaos, embrace higher consciousness, and find peace through sound.
Through every performance, every track, and every note, Jason Abraham continues to inspire with a mission that transcends genres: to uplift the spirit, move the soul, and create music that connects people on a deeper, more human level.
